YOUTH CLASSES FOR GRADES 3 THRU 8TH*Mixed-Media Art to Music I
6-week program Artist Rain Angeni is also a licensed K-12th grade teacher. Rain offers a mixed media art class that incorporates classical and international music as inspiration and to broaden the learner's knowledge. Students create using various mediums such as ink, pastels, various paints, fabric, upcycled materials, carved stamps and more. As each student develops artistic skills they are encouraged to find their unique artistic voice. The 6-week program has 90-minute sessions that meet twice weekly. This cohort class is offered for the following grades: 2nd-3rd Tuesdays & Thursdays 9 am to 10:30 am 4th-6th Mondays & Wednesdays 11 am to 12:30 pm 7th-8th Fridays 2 pm to 3:30 pm Registration Required: $290 per person includes materials Dates: TBA Limited to 12 students * Reading & Math Made Easy A 6-week program Our innovative reading and mathematics class for elementary and junior high school students combines the worlds of literature and numbers to create a dynamic learning experience. Through engaging stories and word problems, students will enhance their vocabulary while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning skills. The class seamlessly integrates mathematical concepts into reading activities, fostering a deeper understanding of both subjects and encouraging a love for learning. The 6-week program has 90-minute sessions that meet twice weekly. This cohort class is offered for the following grades: 2nd-3rd Tuesdays & Thursdays 11 am to 12:30 pm 4th-6th Mondays & Wednesdays 1 pm to 2:30 pm Registration Required: $240 per person includes materials Dates: TBA Limited to 12 students *Writing for Pixar 6-week program This course teaches the mechanics and foundations of storytelling guided by the Pixar in a Box creative team via video support. While developing your own film, learn how a story's structure, characters, visuals, and cinematography contribute to a film's story, and how feedback helps to strengthen a film's storytelling. You will walk through the steps and complete your script along with drawing a storyboard. The 6-week program has 90-minute sessions that meet twice weekly. This cohort class is offered for the following grades: 4th-6th Mondays & Wednesdays 3 pm to 4:30 pm 7th-8th Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm Registration Required: $240 per person includes materials Dates: TBA Limited to 12 students *Mixed-Media Art to Music II An extension of the previous course which allows students to further fine tune their art skills. The 6-week program has 120-minute sessions that meet once weekly. In between performances, attendees explore the visual artwork on display, engaging them in conversations about the artistic process, inspiration behind the pieces, and techniques used to bring their visions to life. Art will be available for purchase.
